• The first Belasco Theatre was located at 229 West 42nd Street, between 7th and 8th Avenues.
  • The entire backstage area of the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre is covered in a thick layer of marley. It was put there during The Little Mermaid so the dancers could wear their heelys everywhere!
  • Some say the “Green Room” was originally painted green to soothe an actor’s eyes after they had been exposed to the bright stage lights.
  • The next Broadway opening is Harvey on June 14th
  • The Playhouse in lower Manhattan was the 1st theatre on Broadway (1730s), now there are no ‘Broadway’ theatres south of 41st street.
