Did anyone else notice that Pippin announced its Broadway engagement exactly 7 days after the current Music Box Theatre tenant, Dead Accounts, announced closing? Doesn’t take a theater owner to know that 7 days isn’t enough time to negotiate and finalize a Broadway deal AND release a statement to all press outlets. Our sources say that Dead Accounts didn’t exactly leave the Music Box early of its own accord…









Well I have to think that if you’re just not pulling your weight financially and a better offer comes around, the landlord isn’t going to hesitate much…
It was my understanding that the show would be a limited run anyhow. At least that was the impression I got from an interview with Katie Holmes on …Letterman a few weeks back.
