I rushed Once on Thursday. I got there about a half hour later than planned and I still got tickets. It was about 8:15 and I got the 11th and 12th ticket. I have gotten there at that time before during the week and not been able to get a seat. I think what helped on Thursday was that it was kind of damp out, it rained over night and then was a little drizzley throughout the morning. So go on a day with kind of crappy weather and you’ll get in haha. The line was longer than the amount of tickets by the time 10 rolled around.
Also, if you’ve never rushed before, it’s a lot of fun to rush shows like Once that always have a long line. You meet fellow fans that would get up early and be late for work to see the show that you clearly love. I met some people on Thursday that I exchanged info with and talk to now. It’s a great way to meet other people who love theater.
What about newer shows? Cinderella? Hands on a Hardbody? Lucky Guy? I know there are shows that just started previews in the last week but Cinderella has been running shows for a few weeks now…
Any word on the Kinky Boots and/or Matilda rush lines? Also wondering when shows announce their rush – Motown begins previews on Monday… wondering if there’ll be rush tix.
I rushed Matilda on Tuesday. The first people in line got there at 8am and I believe there were about 15 people in line by 8:30. The show was incredible and I believe that once the word gets out, the rush may be more difficult. Good luck!
