For me, Tony season means one thing and one thing only- RED CARPET FASHION! It’s the highlight of my year to get to see my favorite Broadway peeps get all dressed up and hit the carpet in gorgeous gowns. So, in the spirit of good fun (and my dream of one day being Stacy London) I thought I’d present you with my Tony Red Carpet Fashion Wish List for just a few of the many wonderful women nominated this year. Enjoy!

photo 1

Idina Menzel- I feel very strongly about seeing Idina in red. The queen deserves a color of power after all, right? This dress is simple, sexy and perfect for Idina to belt out some If/Then tunes on stage.

photo 3

Jessie Mueller- I’ve been LOVING that Jessie has been rocking a lot of sparkle lately. I thought we’d continue the trend in a more neutral, classic tone for the Tonys. The intricate detailing on this Aidan Mattox gown makes this dress stand out and will make her feel like a natural woman ;) (too cheesy?)

photo 4-2

Kelli O’Hara- When I think of Kelli O’Hara, goddess is the word that pops into my head. This flowy Elie Saab gown would look absolutely stunning on her! She can pull off wearing white with her beautiful skin tone, and with the accentuation on the waist, this flowy gown will make her look long and lean.

photo 5

Sutton Foster- I LOVE the idea of Sutton in a pale pink. Her coloring is perfect for this Badgley Mischka dress. The embellished detailing on the shoulders gives this otherwise simple dress a little more edge. I’d love to see her keep this look classic with an up-do and minimal jewelry.

Mary Bridget Davies- This rocker chick deserves an awesome dress, right? I thought it’d be cool to do the opposite of a Janis Joplin look and play more to Ms. Davies’ feminine side with this gown. The rouching and accentuation at the waist will really complement her figure as well.

photo 1

Audra McDonald- What better way to rock a red carpet than in full on gold sparkle glam? It would be AMAZEBALLS to see Audra in this Badgley Mischka gown. She’s already got 5 Tonys, why not dress like royalty?! The gold would look beautiful on her skin tone and the close-fitting shape would hug her curves in all the right places.

photo 2

Celia Keenan-Bolger- Celia has been rocking some edgy dresses this season so I thought we’d continue that trend. This gorgeous, watercolor Elie Saab gown is the perfect blemd of edgy and glamour. And I mean really, I think Celia can rock just about anything and look fabulous so this gown would be perf.

photo 2

Anika Larsen- I love love love LOVE Anika in blue. With her blonde hair and light brown eyes, any blue tones really brighten her up. This chic Elie Saab gown has the perfect amount of feminine beauty that even Cynthia Weil would DIE over. ;)

Tyne Daly- Tyne is a force all on her own. Her presence is felt regardless of what she is wearing. I thought it would be fun to give her something perhaps a little bit out of her comfort zone. This Jenny Packham sparkly wrap dress is the perfect shape and is universally flattering on anyone.

photo 1

Lena Hall- I couldn’t stop dreaaaaming about Lena in an electric blue dress so, here ya go! Her coloring just screams to be paired with a blue like this. So yep. That’s it. That’s my reasoning. Done.

photo 2

Sarah Greene- As soon as I saw this dress, I just knew I needed Sarah to be the one to wear it. The cut outs in the neckline are young and stunning, and the mixture of black and cream gives the dress a classic look as well. I can just envision Sarah with her hair in a sweeping pony and gorgeous dangling earrings as an added accessory to this gown. PER-FEC-TION!

photo 4

LaTonya Richardson Jackson- I can totally see LaTonya going for this classic Carolina Herrera look. What I love most is the chic combination of blue and black which gives this gown an updated look. The bow tie at the waist will give LaTanya attention at her smallest point, and the way the dress flares out at the bottom will elongate her as well. The wider V at the neck balances out the entire look and allows her to shine!

Lauren Worsham- This was another dress that once I found it, I knew I needed to see it on SOMEONE. And, Lauren is the perfect fit. Her beautiful skin would look radiant in this frosted lace gown. The delicate details give it a feminine and sophisticated touch.

Who are YOU most looking forward to seeing on the carpet tomorrow?! Got any fashion suggestions of your own?

Tweet me: @SHUTUPitsASH, I’d LOVE to hear what you think! :)
