Spotted: Broadway Star Sightings

While live streaming Friday’s Broadway Bakes, we spotted Emerson Steele who stopped in to get some cookies before her show tonight. Emerson is making her Broadway debut as Young Violet alongside Sutton Foster and Joshua Henry in Roundabout’s Violet. She was so excited to be spotted and posed for us! Congrats on a great job, Emerson!

Following up the Matilda and The Cripple of Inishmaan hosts, were two ridiculously talented stars of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical- Jarrod Spector and Anika Larsen, who are both nominated for Tonys this year! They were so excited to serve up some cookies and meet some fans!

Friday’s Broadway Bakes started with a bang! The hosts were Christopher Sieber (currently starring as Miss Trunchbull in Matilda), Lesli Margherita (our 2014 Bway Hunger Games’ Effie Trinket and starring as Mrs. Wormwood in Matilda), and Sarah Greene (a 2014 Tony Nominee for her work in The Cripple of Inishmaan)! The group sang and served up special “Lesli Margherita” cookies to a line that went out the door!

The hosts of Thursday’s second shift for Broadway Bakes was the delightful cast of Submissions Only, Broadway’s own web series created by Andrew Keenan-Bolger and Kate Wetherhead. They snapped a quick picture with us before serving a very anxious crowd!

Thursday, this handsome duo was working the counter at Schmackary’s for Broadway Bakes! Joshua (a 2014 Tony Nominee for Violet) was singing outgoing voicemails for anyone who donated $20 and James (knocking it out in Rocky) was flexing for the excited crowd. They took a minute to flex for a pic with us though

Today between shows, we ran into Tony Award nominee Chris O’Dowd! Even though he was walking his super adorable dog, he took a moment to chat with us and pose for a picture. Don’t miss your chance to see him at the Longacre Theatre in Of Mice and Men!
